Formerly a set of dated 1970s units, this St Albans earthquake rebuild has arrived in the present day. The modern multi-unit design now features nine light and luxurious two-bedroom homes set on 1895sqm of extensively remediated land. A lightweight structure of pod floor foundations, timber framing and concrete panel mid-floors conspire with Rockcote and cedar cladding and steel roofing to lighten the bearing weight on the land – an important element of the post-quake design.
Designed and Built utilising CLT Panels for all walls and mid floor and finished in a mix of Cedar and Hardies cladding types, these units sit lightly on the site and provide the utmost in urban living comfort, thanks to the focus placed on modern acoustic design principles and product selection.
A modern and fresh appeal, now replace a 1970’s Concrete Block Bunker.
