THE SETTLEMENT PHASE
The biggest fear most people have in this phase is getting short-changed. The last thing you need is a pay out that won’t cover the rebuild of your house.
We’re here to ensure that this won’t happen to you.
We do this by first checking that your proposed settlement value is realistic. You’d be surprised at the number of discrepancies in settlement offers we see out there. Sometimes it’s $10,000, other times it could be up to $500,000.
We’ll look at your building’s foundations, the geotech (the ground) and look into what it would cost to remediate these things. We’ll review your policy and see what you’re entitled to, making sure that no stone goes unchecked. If there are any discrepancies between the two we can go back to your insurance company with you to renegotiate.
THE DESIGN PHASE
So, you’ve got your correct cash settlement… now you need to get building. It’s best not to leave this process too long because as time goes on the cost of building also goes up.
In this phase, we can design your dream home. Or if you’re repairing your house, we can plan to add that window to the dark room you’ve always wanted to, or remove the stippled ceilings you’ve always hated.
We will organise the builders, contractors, time schedule and consenting. We help you navigate this phase so you don’t need to lose sleep over the intricacies of geotech and structural engineering reports.
